An involved Design & Co-ordination process for the Grade II listed building has now concluded and installation works have commenced in earnest with major plant including new transformers and air handling plant being delivered and positioned on site.
The building is undergoing extensive renovation works, including replacement of the complex tensile fabric roof, introduction of a new mezzanine floor, bistro, study and meeting spaces providing in all a new social space that can accommodate over 200 visitors.
Derry have also been involved with development of new site infrastructure services. New HV power sub stations are under construction and new power supplies are being installed to neighboring buildings on the Campus.
Derry are delighted to be delivering another key project for the University of Nottingham with previous schemes including the Biodiscovery Institute at the University Park Campus and the Advanced Manufacturing and Power Electronics & Machines Centre buildings at the Jubilee Campus.
The Castle Meadow Campus is a zone for entrepreneurship and innovation in the city centre, with a sustainability strategy implemented by the university that assesses each development to ensure carbon neutral targets are being met. Encompassing seven buildings, it features state-of-the-art facilities for its community of students, academics, and industry partners.
