A world-heritage site since 1987, the city of Bath effortlessly combines a colourful history with modern tourist amenities. It’s been a wellbeing destination since Roman times – as evidenced by the city’s ancient architecture – which means any new addition to its tourist trade has a lot to live up to.
That’s why Derry Ltd was commissioned to make sure the city’s new Apex Hotel combined function and flair in equal measure.
With guests visiting for both business and pleasure, the modern hotel has to be a little bit of everything to everyone.
It has to provide the luxury and comfort that holiday-makers crave, alongside the facilities that business guests rely on. But that’s really the bare minimum. It’s the little details on top of this that set a hotel apart; the subtle touches that breathe life into every experience, be it drinking and dining, working out, or just settling down to a good night’s sleep.
Luckily, these little details are one of our specialties.
The Apex City of Bath Hotel has 177 contemporary bedrooms each with large TVs, coffee machines, spacious bathrooms, and rainfall showers. The luxury accommodation also boasts a stylish bar, a restaurant offering fusion cuisine, and a fitness centre complete with a swimming pool, steam room and sauna. And, for those focused on business rather than pleasure, there are fully-equipped conference facilities for up to 400 delegates.
Since completion, the £35million, four-star facility has received rave reviews, with the Telegraph complementing its contemporary look, accessibility, and well-equipped rooms. The heated mirrors in the bathroom also got a special mention, as did the complementary rubber ducks – although that’s one detail Derry Ltd can’t take credit for.
“A much-needed addition to the Bath hotel scene.”
