A phenomenal six-year collaboration between hotelier Jean-Louis Costes, designer François-Joseph Graf and London’s Cadogan dynasty. At Sloane was destined to be an exquisite experience, and only Derry Ltd’s M&E services could make it so.
The vision, a luxuriant blend of British heritage and Parisian flair, required a complete interior reformation of the 19th century brick mansion while keeping its listed exterior intact. Our mechanical and engineering expertise effortlessly enabled this task, extending across the hotel’s 30 guest rooms, a ground-floor speakeasy and the addition of a sixth-floor restaurant boasting the best views of Chelsea.
From the new top to historic toe, the project sought to retain the beauty of Victorian architect Edwin Thomas Hall’s heritage design. Our services accommodated light fittings reproduced from over 50 original pieces by lighting consultant Jeremy Quantrill of Verdome and Collier Webb. That said, we ensured that At Sloane delivered this elegance with modern comfort in its elegant rooms and suites. Guests can relax in bathrooms fitted with underfloor heating and a walk-in shower, as well as adapting the air conditioning, lighting and heating to their liking with a simple yet powerful home automation system.
“It is a joy to see so much of Chelsea’s exquisite architecture and rich artistic heritage reflected and celebrated throughout At Sloane – creating a truly beautiful and unique hotel which will appeal to both discerning visitors and locals alike.”
Hugh Seaborn, Chief Executive, Cadogan
